Ian Wright told Premier League Productions on Friday evening that it’s ‘worrying’ what he is hearing from Arsenal director Josh Kroenke.

The Arsenal legend was left worried by Kroenke junior suggesting that the club wanted to enter the European Super League because they felt the North London giants were being ‘left behind’.

The last week has been an utter disaster for six English clubs, no more so for Arsenal and their already unpopular American owners.

It’s quite clear that the Arsenal fans don’t want the Kroenke’s in charge of the club and Wright was also of that viewpoint.

“Josh Kroenke said in his statement that it was something they wanted to go into because they didn’t want to feel that Arsenal were being left behind,” said Wright.

“When you look at where Arsenal are and our demise has come, it’s coincidental that it has come alongside the Kroenke’s.

“But, for him to say he wanted to ‘get on board just in case’ rather than look at exactly what this is about and say ‘we cannot get involved in that’.

“And that is the worrying thing. If those are the people who are running us and owning us then they are not doing it in the best interest of the football club or the fans, so they have to go.”

Way before a ‘Super League’ was muted, Arsenal fans had problems with those running their club and the demise over the last 10+ years.

This ESL fiasco has only added fuel to the fire, and whilst the Kroenke’s will be stubborn in not wanting to sell up, Arsenal fans will fight with their every fibre to get them out.

The protests before Arsenal’s defeat to Everton is just the start, and as fans are allowed back into the stadium, it will only make the atmosphere more toxic for those sitting at the top.
