Now departed Leeds boss Steve Evans has recently been the favourite for the Nottingham Forest job.
Leeds’ manager Steve Evans
Leeds United confirmed last night that head coach Steve Evans’ contract will not be renewed for next season.
The Scotsman’s departure was not a surprise with Leeds publicly searching for a new manager over the past fortnight.
It has though at least put him out of his misery and allows him to start planning his next step in management, with a move to another Championship club possible.
Until late last week Evans was the favourite to land the Nottingham Forest job with bookies SkyBet, although he had risen to 5/1. Since his Leeds exit, the price has been cut to just 2/1.

Evans was critical of Forest last season after Leeds lost against them, and is not a popular candidate to land their vacant job.
After his sacking from Leeds, Forest fans took to Twitter to express their hope that he is not now suddenly bound for the City Ground.
Deservedly or not, Evans would be a tough sell to Forest fans, and that alone should be enough to make the club stay away and look elsewhere and try and find a manager who will get the supporters onside.
