Speaking on the Wrighty’s House Podcast, Ian Wright has been speaking about the prospect of Arsenal facing Liverpool after Manchester City dropped points.
Facing Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool at any point in time is a frightening prospect, but after their biggest rivals dropped points, the Reds will be baying for blood.
This is one of the most ruthless teams in history, and they know that a win against the Gunners would put them just one point off the top of the Premier League.
Wright says that City’s draw against Palace has made him even more scared of the Merseyside club.
What’s been said?
Wright spoke about this game against Liverpool.
“If I’m a Liverpool player, that game would have been brilliant to watch, and I’d be so hyped right now for the Arsenal game, and that’s made me frightened. Simply because I know that Liverpool, I’m worried, I’m not going to lie. Anything apart from a loss is a win for Arsenal with a Liverpool side coming to the Emirates knowing that a win takes them to where they need to be,” Wright said.

Worst possible timing
This game really couldn’t have come at a worse time for Arsenal.
Liverpool, at times this season, looked like they couldn’t catch Man City, and it would have been easy for the squad’s heads to drop.
Now though, they’re in striking distance and they know that anything but a win against Arsenal would be a wasted opportunity.
Liverpool will come into this game desperate for a win, and it’s not very often that this Liverpool team don’t get what they want.
