Tottenham and Arsenal fans have reacted on Twitter to Marcel Sabitzer joining Bayern Munich.

The German club announced on Twitter that they have signed the RB Leipzig man on a deal until 2025.

Sabitzer is a player who has previously been looked at by the likes of Tottenham and Arsenal, but as reported by Goal, the German champions have paid a tad under £14 million for his talents.

It’s understandable that both Spurs and Arsenal fans are baffled by just how little money Bayern are paying for the attack-minded player.

Spurs would love a player of Sabitzer’s ilk and goalscoring threat from the middle of the park in their XI – he would walk straight into that XI and compliment the likes of Pierre-Emile Hobjberg and Oliver Skipp.

Across the road, Arsenal played more than double for Martin Odegaard, who isn’t considered to be in the same quality bracket as Sabitzer.

Then it’s right for their supporters to ask how they managed to let such a deal slip.

But from Tottenham’s perspective, given that they have had a 100% to the new season, this Sabitzer move won’t be such a blow because the mood is more positive around their ends.

However, their North London rivals, who are sitting bottom of the Premier League table with zero points, will use this to further criticise their transfer business.
