
Mo Salah has been scoring some screamers lately for Liverpool, but his fellow countryman at Arsenal, Mohamed Elneny, has seemingly channelled his talents in Arsenal training.
Whilst Elneny didn’t do it on the big stage like Salah has done, the defensive-minded midfielder showed off some fancy footwork at London Colney recently.
The Arsenal man picked up the ball with his back to goal, dropped a shoulder and went towards his left, before powering the ball home with his left.
It’s nowhere near Salah level because the Liverpool speedster has been bordering on ridiculous with, not just his performances, but his goals this season.
Nonetheless, Arsenal fans were impressed by what they saw from Elneny in training and they joked that he should show Thomas Partey how it is done.
The Ghana international is Arsenal’s main man in the middle of the park, with the now-injured Granit Xhaka playing alongside him on a regular basis.
Even with Xhaka’s absence, the game time for Elneny isn’t coming and it does seem as though the writing is on the wall, in terms of his future at the club.
Mikel Arteta even added to the midfield department in the summer by bringing in the attack-minded Martin Odegaard on a permanent basis.
Whilst the young, energetic and technically-gifted legs of Albert Sambi Lokonga arrived from Anderlecht.
