Investigators in Naples are looking into the period between 2005 and 2010 and a statement from the authorities has confirmed that they are working “in relation to a massive tax fraud put in place by ‘Fd Service srl’, a luxury boat charter company that the former footballer and his wife Daniela Arenoso operated.”
Barcelona star Lionel Messi is also being investigated for his tax affairs and former Napoli star Diego Maradona was famously hit with a £33 million bill for alleged unpaid taxes.
