There were three games at the 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil on Saturday – one in Group G and two in Group F.
The opening game on Saturday was between Argentina and Iran in Group F, and it ended in a narrow 1-0 victory for the South American giants.
In the next fixture, European powerhouse Germany were held to a 2-2 draw by Ghana in Group G, while in the late match, Nigeria registered a narrow 1-0 victory over Bosnia and Herzegovina in Group F.

Stoke City’s Asmir Begovic was the busiest goalkeeper on Saturday, as he had to pull off no fewer than eight saves for Bosnia and Herzegovina against Nigeria. Interestingly, his opposite number on the pitch, Vincent Enyeama, made seven saves. Ghana custodian Fatau Dauda was forced into making just two saves.
