France’s quarterfinal clash against Morocco revealed a massive truth about the quality of food for fans.

The 2-0 scoreline shows how France easily outclassed Morocco in the first quarterfinal game of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

While Kylian Mbappe and Ousmane Dembele’s goals caught the eye of most fans, one off-field post about a burger had soccer fans talking on social media.

Soccer fans react to the horrible burgers served at France vs. Morocco

The knockout game took place at the Boston Stadium, also known as the Gillette Stadium. While the stadium’s environment was top-notch, the same cannot be said for the quality of the food.

The attached image shows the poor quality of a cheeseburger, fries, and water served at the game. Evidently, it didn’t take long for fans to share their brutal reactions to the picture.

“That is the saddest looking burger of all time,” one fan wrote. While another added, “This should genuinely be illegal.”

“ok the chips don’t look horrible, but that cheese looks like greaseproof paper. Also, all that for 25 quid is a rip off,” a third fan noted.

“That burger looks like it was cooked on a prison radiator,” a fourth fan pointed out. “That looks gross,” a fifth fan announced.

Aside from the poor quality, the price tag of $34 for the food left fans flabbergasted. It’s surprising, since a few US fans pointed out that the food at Gillette Stadium is usually good during the NFL season.
