Some Tottenham fans on social media have been raving over Gareth Bale after his performance against Wolfsberger on Thursday evening.
The Welshman rolled back the years, grabbing a goal and an assist in the Europa League clash to help Spurs on their way to a 4-1 win.
This is exactly the type of performance we’ve been waiting for Bale to produce, and we can only hope that he builds on this in the coming weeks.
Everybody knows how talented Bale is on his day. After all, he’s a two-time PFA Player of the Year winner, but we’ve not seen this type of performance nearly often enough this season.
However, on Thursday he looked back to his best, and as you can probably imagine, his performance sparked something of a frenzy on social media.
Indeed, Spurs fans came out in their droves to give Bale credit after his showing.
The winger needed a confidence boost after a slow start to life back in north London, and if that performance wasn’t enough, one look at Twitter would surely give him a boost as he was showered with compliments.
