Arsenal fan want Philippe Coutinho signed after he produced an eye-catching cameo performance for Bayern Munich during their Champions League thrashing of Chelsea yesterday.
Coutinho came off the bench to help Bayern put four past Frank Lampard’s men, who had recently suffered an FA Cup final defeat to Arsenal the week before.
Bleacher Report recently claimed that Coutinho, who is on-loan at Bayern from Barcelona, could be a last-minute signing for Arsenal during this summer transfer window.
But, Spanish outlet AS Sport had previously claimed that the former Liverpool playmaker was in advanced talks with the current FA Cup holders.
Either way, it seems that there is some interest in the Brazilian’s signature and he may well be making a return to England’s top-flight.
In the meantime, Arsenal fans were watching him produce the goods in the Champions League and they were impressed with what they saw.
They are pretty adamant that they want him at the Emirates Stadium next season, as they crave some much-needed creative spark in the middle of the park.
It needs to be remembered that Coutinho is officially a Barcelona player, so if he is to move then it would be up to the Spanish club, not the German champions.
