Roy Keane and Micah Richards lauded Tanguy Ndombele’s ‘world-class’ goal during Tottenham’s 3-1 win at Sheffield United, as they told Super Sunday on Sky Sports.

Both pundits were adamant that Ndombele ‘definitely’ meant to score his audacious flick as Tottenham sealed all three points against the Premier League’s bottom-of-the-table side.

Tottenham fans would have been feeling the jitters after the hour mark because the scoreline was reading 2-1.

But the revived Ndombele was in his own world as he produced a moment of absolute magic – both Keane and Richards were impressed.

“They saved the best till last,” said Richards. “Bergwijn and Ndombele, look at that cute ball over the top and that is a sublime finish.

“Some would say that he didn’t mean that, but where else could it possibly go? Unbelievable. You have to give him credit for that. That’s just sensational.

Keane then added: “I think he’s meant it. Brilliant goal. Great goal. World-class. Definitely meant it.”

Less than 12 months ago, Jose Mourinho was calling out Ndombele after Tottenham’s clash against Burnley.

And whilst certain players, such as Dele Alli, still struggle to win back his outspoken and highly-demanding coach, Ndombele is showing how it’s done.

Along with the more combative Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in the midfield, the duo have built a brilliant partnership and have finally added spice to Tottenham’s previously blunt midfield.
