Ian Wright has said on Wright’s House podcast that Arsenal and England international star Bukayo Saka is now world class.

The Arsenal legend was hugely impressed by how Saka played for England against France in the quarter-finals of the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

England lost 2-1 to France at the weekend.

One of the best players for the Three Lions in the quarter-final tie was Arsenal star Saka.

The 21-year-old, who usually starts on the right of a front three, caused France international left-back Theo Hernandez all sorts of problems.

Former Arsenal and England international striker Wright believes that Saka and Jude Bellingham emerged as world-class players from the match against France.

Wright said: “We are watching players turn into world-class players. I think that’s what we saw with Jude Bellingham, and we saw that with Saka last night.

“We saw them two emerge as world-class players last night taking on the world champions, Jude Bellingham at 19 and Saka at 21, taking on the world champions and giving them a run for their money.”

Gem of a footballer

In our opinion, Arsenal and England attacker Bukayo Saka is one of the best young players on the planet.

The 21-year-old has established himself as a regular for the Gunners and the Three Lions.

Saka has been playing first-team football for a while now, and we do tend to forget at times that he is only just starting his career.

He is just so good.

And Arsenal and England are lucky to have such a talent in their team.
