Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers has said that Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus is a “world-class” player, as quoted on The Arsenal Way’s YouTube channel.
Rodgers made the comments following Arsenal’s 4-2 win against Leicester at the Emirates Stadium in North London in the Premier League this past weekend.
Jesus, who joined Arsenal from Manchester City in the summer transfer window, scored two goals in the match on Saturday.
The 25-year-old Brazil international striker also gave two assists.
Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers on Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus
Rodgers said about Jesus after the match, as quoted on The Arsenal Way’s YouTube channel: “Anyone could see today, Gabriel Jesus, when you bring in a world-class player, it’s not just what he brings to the team, it’s what a new signing gives to everyone else.”

Immediate impact at the Gunners
Gabriel Jesus has made an immediate impact at Arsenal and has hit the ground running at the North London club.
The striker was sensational against Leicester in the Premier League at the weekend, and it is only the beginning for the Brazilian as an Arsenal player.
Jesus won multiple Premier League titles with Manchester City and has arrived at the Emirates Stadium with a winning mentality.
For Arsenal to finish in the Premier League top four this season and also make an impact in the UEFA Europa League, Jesus will have to be in top form throughout and bang in the goals.
Meanwhile, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has praised Granit Xhaka, and believes that the Switzerland international midfielder could still improved.
Arteta told Arsenal’s official website about Xhaka: “He’s there to play the role that we want and Granit has certain characteristics, but we can develop other characteristics because he has ability to do it, and when Fabio Vieira plays in that position he will have a different role because his qualities are different, and it’s the same with Martin, so the team has to adapt, but the players as well have to play with an eye on the goal and the feeling that they want to score.”
