Ezri Konsa has stated that Aston Villa face a ‘big challenge’ when they lock horns against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, as he told Villa TV.

The Villa defender added that Spurs have ‘world-class’ players, but pointed out that ‘anything is possible’ in terms of his side getting a result.

Antonio Conte’s side put five past Newcastle United recently and are currently sitting fourth in the Premier League table.

Whilst Steven Gerrard has seen his side lose three Premier League games in a row, including against Wolves last time out.

On paper, this should be three points to the north London outfit, but Konsa is hoping the Villa Park crowd can ‘drive’ the players to victory.

“A big challenge,” said Konsa. “We know that they have world-class players. We know how good they are.

“They are in good form. But anything is possible in football. We have lost three in a row.

“But, I am sure, Villa Park will be rocking on Saturday. The fans will be behind us, which will hopefully drive us to get the three points.”

Given how Villa have been defending of late, it’s going to be pretty difficult to see them keep a clean sheet against this Tottenham forward line.

Harry Kane is back to his best, only Mohamed Salah has scored more goals in the Premier League than Heung-Min Son.

Whilst Dejan Kulusevski has provided five assists from ten Premier League games following his January move from Juventus.

Villa have to produce one of their best performances of the season if they are to dent Tottenham’s Champions League hopes here.
