Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has admitted live on Sky Sports that he simply had to applaud Tottenham Hotspur’s Heung-Min Son.
Son set Spurs on their way to a 2-0 win over Arsenal in the North London derby yesterday, with an absolutely magnificent strike from range.
The South Korean picked up the ball in an innocuous position, but he cut inside and unleashed a curling shot right into the corner of the net from distance.
It was a brilliant piece of skill, and the Arsenal boss admitted that there was little his side could have done to stop that goal, although he was frustrated with the way his side defended Tottenham’s second.
“We have a lot of the ball but no end product that is required to win football matches,” Arteta said.
“I applaud their first goal, it is world class, but the second goal we are a man down, we leave a massive gap and they take advantage.
“He [Thomas Partey] has to stay on the pitch. It looks like the same injury he has already had, he will have an MRI.”

Son’s goal means that he now has 10 for the season, which is the same amount as Arsenal’s whole team.
Gary Neville said on commentary that Son had pushed into the world class bracket now and that the Spurs striker would start for any team.
It is hard to argue with that analysis, as Son has been nothing short of sensational this season.
Tottenham’s win leaves them leading the way in the Premier League table again, with their next league match coming against Crystal Palace on Sunday.
