Granit Xhaka has just shown Arsenal what they might be missing next season.
Switzerland kicked off their Euro 2020 campaign with a 1-1 draw against Wales in Baku this afternoon.
And the Arsenal midfielder, who is heavily linked with a move away from North London, impressed big time.
Xhaka completed 94 percent of his passes and expertly dictated the play in midfield.
Xherdan Shaqiri’s substitution in the second half handed the impetus to Wales, who ultimately equalised.
But the Arsenal player was pretty much faultless throughout the game and here’s how some fans on Twitter reacted to his display:
It seems to be a question not if Xhaka leaves Arsenal, but when.
Roma Press reported earlier this week that the Swiss maestro would complete a move to the Italian club before his country’s tournament kicked off.
And although that obviously didn’t materialise, the player is still reportedly intent on leaving North London to join up with Jose Mourinho.
Let’s not pretend Xhaka posts a masterclass every week for Arsenal because that’s a case of re-writing history, but there is plenty to like about the player and when he’s gone, some fans may just miss him.
