Speaking on the Sky Sports Premier League YouTube channel, Fabinho has been discussing Roberto Firmino.
The Brazilian midfielder was asked who the best player in training is for both Liverpool and Brazil, and he had the same answer for both questions – naming Firmino as the hardest worker on Merseyside and with the national team.
Fabinho says that Firmino is always in the gym before training and that he absolutely dominates the small-sided games when those drills are put on during training.

Firmino the best trainer
Fabinho named the attacker as the best trainer at Liverpool and for Brazil.
“I think Bobby Firmino for Liverpool and for Brazil. Bobby is someone who works really hard, not just on the pitch but if you go to the gym before the sessions he is always there. He’s a really good player, Bobby is someone I always want to have in my team in the small games because his team is usually the winning team,” Fabinho said.
Not surprising
It’s not surprising one bit to hear that Firmino dominates training.
Small-sided games are basically built for a player like Firmino. He’s so good at working in tight spaces and playing neat short passes and using tricks to beat his opponents, while his work-rate is also second-to-none.
The fact that Fabinho has named Firmino as the best player in Brazil training is also interesting in that the Liverpool ace hasn’t actually been picked to go to the World Cup in Qatar, which, in our view, is something of a travesty.
Firmino is one of the most talented players on the planet, and he absolutely deserves to be able to showcase his ability on the world’s biggest stage.
