Speaking on The Stand with Eamon Dunphy, Arsenal legend Liam Brady has been discussing Gabriel Jesus and his impact at the Emirates this season.
The Brazilian has been fantastic for the Gunners this term, and while he’s not scored in any of his last seven games, he’s still one of the north London club’s standout performers this season.
Aside from his brilliant showings, Brady has been very impressed with Jesus’ attitude, stating that the South American is setting an example for every other player to follow.

Jesus the leader
Brady lauded Jesus for his enthusiasm and leadership.
“I think Jesus has been really important. He’s really enthusiastic and he chases down the defenders and things like that. I think everyone is taking the lead off of him, his workrate is phenomenal, he’s back in the defence and back in the midfield. He could have had two goals against Forest, but he’s out of luck at the moment. People are taking the lead off of him because of his workrate for the team. He’s a leader on the pitch and he’s been a massive signing for Arsenal,” Brady said.
Winning mentality
You don’t win four Premier League titles unless you have a winners’ mentality, and that’s exactly what Jesus has brought to Arsenal.
He’s spent almost the entirety of his senior career around the highest-performing group of players in Europe, so of course he’s going to be one of the hardest workers in any squad.
Jesus knows what it takes to be a winner, and that is rubbing off on the rest of the Arsenal squad now.
The Gunners bought a lot more than just a striker this summer, they got a leader and standard-bearer when they brought the Brazilian in from Manchester City.
