Speaking on The Red Agenda Podcast, Stephen Warnock has been full of praise for Mohamed Salah.
Salah has been lauded as one of the best players in the world over the past few months, and for good reason. He’s the Premier League’s top scorer, he’s one of the top assisters in England, and he’s scored some wonderful goals.
However, Warnock has been speaking about his off the ball work, stating that his workrate and ability to chase people down is phenomenal and that he actually makes Trent Alexander-Arnold into a better player.
What’s been said?
Warnock spoke about Salah.
“The players around them, they all work to the maximum potential of the system, that’s why it works so well. People talk about Salah’s ability to score goals, but his ability to win the ball back and chase people down is phenomenal, the workrate is frightening, but it helps Trent and makes Trent a better for it as well,” Warnock said.

All-rounder
Salah may be a soon to be three-time Premier League Golden Boot winner, but you’d be sorely mistaken if you believe his game is all about goals.
Salah is also one of the hardest working players you’re likely to see, and as Warnock says, he’s never shy to give his full-back a helping hand.
This defensive work from Salah allows Alexander-Arnold to be a lot more expressive and adventurous down that right side, and with the full-back being the top assister in England, you can see just how well that is working.
