Following Monday evening’s defeat to Manchester City, Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo was quizzed on Barcelona right-back Nelson Semedo.
According to the Express and Star, the ex-Benfica player has already undergone a medical ahead of a £29 million move from the Camp Nou.
When asked about that deal, Nuno told The Express and Star: ‘What I said before is that we had our target identified and we are working on it. I’m sorry but I cannot go much further than this.’
The ex-Porto boss is clearly not wanting to get ahead of himself on this deal, despite the fact that it reportedly looks all but done. The aforementioned report described Semedo’s arrival as imminent.
When he does arrive, the 14-capped Portugal international will be a welcome addition to a Wolves squad with one glaring hole.
Nuno currently has no senior right-backs following Matt Doherty’s move to Tottenham, meaning that Adama Traore lined up in a right wing-back role against City.
