Paul Merson has raved about Liverpool winger Luis Diaz in The Daily Star ahead of the FA Cup final against Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea.

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and Tuchel’s Chelsea will face each other in the final of the FA Cup on Saturday.

Colombia international winger Diaz could start for the Reds.

Former Arsenal star and Sky Sports pundit Merson believes that the January signing from FC Porto works really hard.

Paul Merson on Liverpool forward Luis Diaz

Merson wrote in The Daily Star: “Luis Diaz is another Liverpool player who deserves a mention because he’s settled in quicker than snow since joining in January!

“He’s walked straight into the front three and worked his socks off to become a key player for the club, I can’t talk highly enough of the bloke.”

In our opinion, Luis Diaz has been superb for Liverpool since his transfer in January and will be a massive player against Chelsea in the FA Cup final.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is likely to start Mohamed Salah, Diaz and Sadio Mane as his front-three.

Diaz’s pace, skills and work ethic could be a problem for the Chelsea defence.

The winger is very hard to mark, and the way he takes key positions in attack could really hurt Chelsea.

The 25-year-old has scored four goals and given three assists in 10 Premier League starts for Liverpool this season.

Diaz has also scored two goals and given one assist in three Champions League starts for the Reds this campaign.
