Anton Ferdinand has said on Twitter that he is looking forward to watching Said Benrahma in action for West Ham United.

Benrahma joined West Ham on loan from Championship club Brentford on summer transfer deadline day.

According to BBC Sport, the Premier League club have had to pay the Bees a loan fee of £5 million and will have to make the deal permanent next summer for £20 million, with a further £5 million possible in add-ons.

Former West Ham central defender Ferdinand is looking forward to watching the Algeria international winger turn out for the Hammers and has urged him to work hard.

Good signing for West Ham United

Benrahma, who can also operate as a forward, is a very good and creative attacking player who scores goals and makes chances for his teammates.

According to WhoScored, the 25-year-old scored 17 goals and provided nine assists in the Championship for Brentford last season, while in 2018-19, he scored 10 goals and gave 14 assists in the league.

True, the Premier League is at a different level to the Championship, but the winger is at the right age to step up and make an immediate impact in the top flight of English football.
