Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has been speaking about Hector Bellerin, confirming that the 26-year-old isn’t fit enough to play against Brighton at the weekend.
Bellerin was last seen against Chelsea a couple of weeks ago, but injury problems have meant that he’s set to miss the Gunners’ final game of the season.
There has been plenty of speculation about Bellerin’s future at Arsenal, and with reports stating that he may be set to leave north London, there’s every chance that the Spaniard has played his final game for the Gunners.
“Hector is not fit so he won’t be there playing the last game. Like everybody that has a contract he remains here,” Arteta said.
Arsenal’s game is something of a dead-rubber, so Bellerin being missing isn’t exactly a massive blow.

However, it is a shame to see that the Spaniard isn’t going to be able to play in front of fans at the Emirates for what could be the final time in his Arsenal career.
Regardless of how Bellerin has played this season, the right-back has been a fantastic servant for Arsenal, and if reports are true about his departure, he isn’t going to have the send-off he deserves on Sunday.
Of course, the 26-year-old could end up staying at the Gunners, but only time will tell whether or not he ends up getting a move.
