Jose Enrique has backed Liverpool to sign Chelsea transfer target, Wilfried Zaha, by stating on Instagram that he ‘won’t be too expensive’.

The Crystal Palace winger has one-year left on his contract at Selhurst Park and there are suggestions that he is open to a move to Chelsea – but Enrique thinks he would fit into Liverpool’s forward line.

Liverpool don’t usually do late business, but it seems as though they will dip into the transfer market before Thursday’s deadline.

Chelsea are looking at signing attackers before the 2022 summer cut-off point, with Everton’s Anthony Gordon on their radar, but will they manage to secure the Englishman’s signature?

But might they turn their attention closer to home and look across the capital by trying to lure Zaha to Stamford Bridge as well?

Well, despite all that possible talk, Enrique shared how a forward line of Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez, Mo Salah, Diogo Jota, Roberto Firmino and Zaha wouldn’t be bad at all.

STRONG START TO THE SEASON BY ZAHA

Over the weekend, Zaha missed Palace’s trip to Manchester City, where they let a 2-0 lead slip and lost 4-2 to the Premier League champions.

But from Zaha’s opening three matches, the former Manchester United player has three goals, including scoring during Palace’s 1-1 draw at Anfield a number of weeks ago.

Zaha has made that step up to the Champions League level before, he was pretty young when he donned Man United colours and it just didn’t work out for him.

So, does he sign a new contract at ever-progressing Palace? Or does he move now, including the club cashing in on such a key player that could leave for nothing next summer?
