Speaking on his YouTube channel, Alasdair Gold has been discussing the return of some of Tottenham’s World Cup stars.
As one of the best teams in the Premier League, Spurs have been represented heavily at the World Cup this winter, but some of their star players are already out of the competition.
The likes of Ben Davies and Rodrigo Bentancur have already been eliminated in the group stages, while Heung-Min Son was knocked out at the Round of 16.
Gold has now given an update on when Son will be back, stating that the South Korean is likely to return next week as he’s given a period of rest by the club.

Son to return next week
Gold shared what he knows about the attacker’s return.
“The players who are returning from the World Cup, they will be given between a week and two week’s rest. I’ve been told they’ll get over a week. Sonny he will be back next week, so he won’t be around for the Motherwell game, unless he decides he doesn’t want the rest and wants to come back quickly,” Gold said.
Back in the zone
Son will be gutted to have been knocked out of the World Cup at such an early juncture, but at least this prolonged period away from Qatar will allow him to get back in the zone.
Son hasn’t been at his best this season, but perhaps a mini pre-season will allow him to refocus his efforts and get back on track.
On his day, Son is one of the best players in the Premier League, and if he can rediscover his best form, Spurs should have no problems getting into the top four come the end of the season.
