Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed to BBC Sport that Yerry Mina will not play against Liverpool.
Mina went down in Everton’s game last night, after damaging his calf and he hobbled off.
The hope was that the centre-back’s problem would just be a minor one, but it seems that the Everton defender will now be out for their game against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side on Saturday.
“Yerry Mina won’t be able to play at the weekend.” Ancelotti said.
Mina’s absence will be a blow for Everton against Liverpool, although they do have the options to cope with it.

The Toffees could shift Mason Holgate or Ben Godfrey into central defence, with Seamus Coleman coming into the starting line-up.
Mina does offer the Toffees more height and aerial ability though, so him being missing will be a concern.
Everton could also be without Dominic Calvert-Lewin against Liverpool, although there are some hopes that the striker could recover.
