Tottenham letting Ismail Azzaoui leave seemed a mistake at the time, and after a serious injury, he is finding his feet.

Former Tottenham Hotspur sensation Ismail Azzaoui is celebrating after scoring his first professional goal.
The Belgian wonderkid appeared destined for the very top, after inspiring Tottenham’s under-18 side to the FA Youth Cup semi-finals in 2014/15.
The winger looked like a sure bet to crack the first team, before he was inexplicably sold to Wolfsburg in 2015.

He quickly made his debut for the Bundesliga side, before his promising career took a huge blow as he ruptured his ACL.
After recovering and essentially losing 18 months of his career, Azzaoui is getting back on track.
He joined Dutch side Willem II on loan this summer and has begun playing regularly for the Eredivisie side.
Azzaoui, still only 19, scored his first professional goal at the weekend in a 3-1 victory over FC Twente.
He uploaded a video of the strike to his Instagram page, expressing his hope that it is the first of many goals he hopes to score in his promising career.
Time is still on Azzaoui’s side to become a success, and he has done the hard part – bouncing back from serious blow physically and mentally, and found a club willing to give him regular starting spot.
His unfortunate injury has meant Tottenham’s strange decision to let him leave has not yet come back to haunt them, but Azzaoui is only just getting started, and it could still turn out to be a decision the North London side regret.
