Kevin Campbell has claimed that Amazon didn’t go to Arsenal and Tottenham for an All or Nothing documentary first because they weren’t the ‘sexier’ option, as he told the Highbury Squad Podcast.
The Arsenal legend shared that Amazon went to Manchester City first because of their success and then knocked on the doors of Arsenal and Spurs, as he also aimed a jibe at the latter by saying they have ‘won nothing’.
In actual fact, Sunderland were one of the first ones to gain a documentary of that kind, but that was with Netflix.
And many years ago, QPR, did a documentary dubbed ‘the four year plan’, which followed their rise from the Championship to the Premier League.
One side of North London has already had cameras following them around and now another one in Arsenal is currently being filmed.
And when talking about Arsenal boosting their marketing strategy, and making reference to the Amazon deals, Campbell shared that success plays a huge part and it comes hand-in-hand.
“Spurs got an Amazon deal,” said Campbell. “And they have won nothing.
“The point I am trying to make is that Arsenal weren’t the first (to have a documentary), they (Amazon) didn’t go to Arsenal first.
“Arsenal weren’t the first to get it and Spurs weren’t. Who was the first? (he is told Man City).
“My point is this, if Arsenal, Spurs and Manchester City were on the table for them, they went to Manchester City (first because of their success). That’s my point.
“We aren’t talking just about Amazon or Netflix. If there are five clubs at the table and they want somebody to come on board, my point is that they go for the sexier one.”

It will be a case of get the popcorn out when Arsenal start releasing their first few episodes of their All or Nothing doc.
Not so long ago, they were sitting bottom of the Premier League table, without any points and no goals scored.
And now they have managed to pick themselves up, including beating Spurs in the North London derby.
But you can bet your bottom dollar that it’s going to take more twists and turns yet.
