Micah Richards heaped praise on the ‘sensational’ duo James Milner and Jordan Henderson as Liverpool put five past Watford on Saturday, as he told BBC Radio 5 Live Sport.

From playing at right-back against Manchester City to being handed a midfield role yesterday, Milner has it all in his locker and Richards was impressed with the Liverpool veteran.

The likes of Mo Salah have rightly got the plaudits for a start to the season that would put fear into the eye of every opposition.

But perhaps two names that wouldn’t have been mentioned during the fireworks display are that of Milner and Henderson.

Former Manchester City defender Richards shared that they won’ absolutely everything’ in the middle of the park, as the home team just had no answers.

“Milner and Henderson in that midfield were just sensational,” said Richards. “All the second balls. They just won absolutely everything.

“Watford just couldn’t get out. It seems like a a team everything seems to be coming together.”

Watford are probably looking for a new manager already, that’s how much of a lasting affect such a defeat can have on the club.

Even if the newly-promoted side had a good day, they would have still been on the back end of a three to four nothing defeat.

But they just had to meet Salah being in the form of his life because that was ruthless from the Egyptian, added with Mane and hat-trick hero, Roberto Firmino.

And whilst Claudio Ranieri dwells on his first game in charge, this Liverpool train is pretty hard to stop.

Nevermind just winning games, they are putting an average of three goals past teams, so the opposition would do well just to finish the game with a 2-0 defeat
