Wolverhampton Wanderers are plotting a late move to sign Cardiff City striker Kieffer Moore before next week’s transfer deadline.
That’s according to The Express, who claim that Wolves want to sign competition for Raul Jimenez before the transfer deadline.
Jimenez is only just back from a major head injury, and Wolves want to ease the workload on him.
Big-money 2020 signing Fabio Silva is still only a kid, so adding a battle-hardened striker as a third option seems to be the plan.
Moore is a huge presence at 6ft 5in tall, possessing outstanding aerial ability as he fits the mould of an ideal target man.
Moore is also quicker than you would expect, causing mayhem for Championship defenders under former Wolves manager Mick McCarthy – a boss who has called Moore ‘terrific’.

The 29-year-old hit 20 goals for Cardiff last season, before then impressing for Wales at Euro 2020.
What’s interesting is that Wolves have brought in Wales’ goalkeeping coach Tony Roberts, who he will know all about Moore from international duty.
Cardiff may not be too keen on selling their star striker, but with two years left on his contract and his 30’s approaching, the Bluebirds may see this as a time to sell for maximum cash.
