CalcioMercato report that Barcelona are battling both Atletico Madrid and Valencia in the race to sign Wolves attacker Goncalo Guedes this month – despite only moving to The Molineux in the summer from Valencia for a fee of £27.5m.
Wolves have been active this month. The club have already dealt with Atletico Madrid – Diego Simeone allowing the English club to sign Matheus Cunha on loan with the option of a purchase. Mario Lemina is set to join from OGC Nice.
Pablo Sarabia is close to a move from PSG. Wolves have bolstered their attack, and that might see big-money signing Guedes fall down the pecking order. Behind Cunha and Sarabia. Guedes has scored just two goals for Wolves in 18.
The report from CM states that Valencia would love to re-sign Guedes. A player that had a hand in 66 goals in 177 games for the Spanish side. But Barcelona and Atletico are also interested in the Portugal star. His deal ends in 2027.

Barcelona battling Atletico, Valencia in race to sign Wolves star Guedes
Wolves are now well-stocked in attack. Cunha comes in to rival Raul Jimenez and Diego Costa up top, with Sasa Kalajdzic on the sidelines with injury. Out wide, Daniel Podence is in form and Pedro Neto is one of the club’s best.
Sarabia comes in to try and disrupt that, while Cunha can also play out wide. Hwang Hee-chan and Adama Traore are also options. So, It it could be expected if the likes of Guedes were keen to seek an exit before the month is up.
But given Wolves have only just signed Guedes, it will be interesting to see the Midlands club’s stance on his future. Perhaps, they would be open to a loan move for Guedes. With the option of a permanent exit come the summer.
