AC Milan could look to revive their interest in Romain Faivre in January after failing to sign the forward Wolves also explored prising from Stade Brest this summer, per Calciomercato.
The Rossoneri hierarchy admire what Faivre could offer at the San Siro under Stefano Pioli after impressing in Ligue 1. The 23-year-old already has two assists in his tally after three appearances this season, having created twice against Paris Saint-Germain.
Brest still lost to Les Parisiens in their matchday three encounter, but twice threatened a comeback through Faivre’s creativity. He also helped the Stade Francis-Le Ble outfit avoid relegation by one-point last term with six goals and five assists.
Faivre’s repeated threat from the left-wing and influence in fleeting appearances across the frontline built a vast market this summer. Le Telegramme reported Wolves, PSG, Sevilla, Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Monchengladbach asked Brest for information on Faivre.
Les Pirates were also willing to sell if a suitable offer arrived before the end of the summer market. With an agent unconnected to any negotiations touting €18m (£15.5m) as a price Brest would find irresistible. But, seemingly, a price Wolves nor Milan were willing to pay.
Although Milan have not completely let go of their aspirations of signing Faivre from Brest, and could deny Wolves in January. That’s if Bruno Lage also elects to pursue the former U21 international again, after showing an interest over the summer.

It will be highly likely AC Milan target Faivre in January if he maintains his promising start to the season with Brest, and Wolves should not rule out reviving their interest again. Although the Rossoneri may prove more enticing if they match last season’s Serie A record. The San Siro outfit finished as runners-up to rivals Inter, to clinch a Champions League spot.
Faivre, meanwhile, shone in a poor relegation-scrapping side and has started the new campaign on the same wavelength. While Brest have two points from four games, he has as many assists. The Frenchman is also building a great reputation in Ligue 1 on the ball.
“He’s an elegant player,” teammate Steve Mounie told beIN SPORTS, via Ligue1.com. “He’s a brilliant dribbler. Every weekend, he does some enjoyable dribbles, and he helps us a lot, he creates chances, and helps the team in different kind of ways.”
