Wolverhampton Wanderers U23s picked up their first win of the Premier League 2 Division 1 season courtesy of the local lad’s superb late goal.

A number of Wolverhampton Wanderers have taken to Twitter to praise Taylor Perry for his impressive winning goal in Wolves Under-23s’ 2-1 win away at Blackburn Rovers U23s in Friday night’s Premier League 2 Division 1 clash (official Wolves website).
The 18-year-old midfielder struck a superb right-footed curling effort in the 90th minute of the game at the Leyland County Ground to leave Rovers goalkeeper Joe Hilton with no chance and give Wolves their first win of the new league season.
Rob Edwards’ charges took the lead on 51 minutes through Mertian Shabani’s first goal in the old gold, but Blackburn cancelled this out just seven minutes later as Harry Chapman diverted Charley Doyle’s cross into the bottom corner of the Wolves net.
The hosts ended the game with nine men after Matty Platt was shown a red card for a heavy challenge on John Kitolano and Doyle was sent off for a second yellow after trying to stop Kitolano from taking a quick throw-in.
Here is how some Wolves fans reacted on social media to Perry’s superb effort:
Perry, a local Black Country lad from Kingswinford, made his first senior Wolves appearance in pre-season, coming off the bench against Newcastle United in the Premier League Asia Cup and seeing an effort cleared off the line (official Wolves website), before scoring in the penalty shootout against Manchester City.
