The defender did not play for Wolverhampton Wanderers for nearly a month earlier in the season.

Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Kortney Hause has reflected on his time out of the team and while he insisted that the spell was frustrating for him, he has suggested that it has had a positive impact on his outlook, the Express and Star reports.
The 21-year-old began the season as an important member of Walter Zenga’s squad, but the Express and Star reports that he soon fell down the pecking order and then picked up an injury.

And after making his first appearance in nearly a month as part of the Wolves side that went to Aston Villa and secured a point, Hause has explained how he tried to respond after he fell out of favour with the Italian.
“No-one likes not playing, it’s a very frustrating time for me but I didn’t sulk about it, I just got on with it,” he said, as reported by the Express and Star. “You’re not always going to play, you have to prove yourself.

“I’m happy the gaffer’s given me an opportunity to play.
“It keeps me sharp and on my toes. Nothing’s guaranteed. Every game I have to prove myself and play for my spot.”

Despite the time on the sidelines, it appears that Hause showed enough during his appearance against Villa as he retained his place in the team for the trip to Brighton in midweek.
And while the team suffered a defeat, the fact that they have only conceded two goals in their last two games suggests that Hause has arguably done enough to retain his place in the team for the home game against Leeds this weekend.
