Wolverhampton Wanderers drew 3-3 with Reading on Sunday, with Bakary Sako shining for the visitors.
Wolverhampton Wanderers and Reading played out a thrilling 3-3 draw on Sunday afternoon, with a last-minute goal giving the Royals a share of the points.
With the score 1-0 to Reading at half-time, fans would not have expected what followed, as Michael Hector’s goal was cancelled out by James Henry before Wolves went ahead just three minutes later through Lee Evans.
But Reading went right up the other end to equalise through Jake Taylor and that was how the score remained until the final six minutes.
Dave Edwards scored what Wolves would have hoped was the winner, but with just one minute of normal-time remaining Glenn Murray put the icing on what had been a sumptuous cake for neutrals and a humdinger of a match for all concerned.
While there was plenty of talent on show, Wolves star Bakary Sako was simply outstanding, having a pass accuracy of 96 per cent, grabbing an assist and going on five dribbles that caused his opponents plenty of problems.
| Goal Assist | Key Pass | Total Scoring Attempt | On-target Scoring Attempt | Passing Accuracy | Won Tackle | Forward Pass | Mins Played | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bakary Sako | 1 | 1 | 1 | 0 | 96% | 4 | 5 | 90 |
Shortly after the match, Sako took to Twitter to say that he felt Wolves were unlucky to draw but that they would learn from their mistakes.
Wolves climbed up to third with their latest result, just two points behind leaders Norwich City and one behind second-placed Nottingham Forest.
