HITC understands that Wolverhampton Wanderers have made their position clear after the club received an offer from West Ham United for a key player.

Gary O’Neil is embarking on his second season at Wolverhampton Wanderers after a promising first season in the Black Country.

The club have some key players that they do not want to lose this summer with Max Kilman and Pedro Neto the two players who are attracting the most interest.

For Kilman, HITC understands that West Ham United have made an offer for the English defender, with the bid believed to be in the region of £30 million.

Wolves’ position on Max Kilman sale

Kilman broke through in the Wolves first team back in the 2020-21 season and has gone from strength to strength since that breakthrough.

HITC revealed West Ham’s interest in the English defender earlier this month and the East London side have progressed with an offer for the 24-year-old and sources have confirmed the bid on the table is in the region of £30 million.

This offer made by the Hammers is understood to be not enough for Wolves to consider selling the English defender with the Black Country side seeking a fee in the region of £50 million for his sale.

Wolves boss O’Neil has been full of praise for the Englishman. Back in February, O’Neil was quoted by the Express & Star as saying: “He’s developed a lot as captain and as a footballer, even in the short time I’ve been here, and I’m really pleased with where he is.

“We can still make some improvements in him defensively and on the ball, but he’s in a great place and his trajectory is going in the right way. When I came in I felt he could do with being a bit sharper fitness-wise but I can’t remember the last time I looked at him and felt that.”

West Ham not the only Premier League side interested in Kilman

Wolves are understood to not be keen on losing the Englishman but West Ham are not the only club keeping tabs on the defender.

HITC understands that Manchester United, Liverpool, Newcastle and Tottenham Hotspur have all kept an eye on the defender’s progress at Molineux.

Sources have told HITC that these clubs have been following Kilman’s progress for a long time and could yet enter the bidding war for the defender this summer.
