The Wolverhampton Wanderers academy graduate left Molineux for a loan switch at Rovers and opened his professional account in style last weekend.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have praised talented academy graduate Niall Ennis after he scored his first professional goal – and a very good one too – whilst on loan at Doncaster Rovers.
The Wolves striker, who has come through the ranks at Molineux, helped the South Yorkshire side run out 2-1 winners over Lincoln City in League One on Saturday as he opened the scoring in style.
Although the Imps began brightly at the Keepmoat Stadium, Doncaster took the lead in the 13th minute as Ennis brought down a long clearance from goalkeeper Ian Lawlor, shifted the ball onto his left foot and lashed a sumptuous shot into the top corner from 20 yards.
Wolves’ academy Twitter page posted the video of the 20-year-old’s wondergoal and the main channel retweeted it on Tuesday, adding “what a strike!”.
Ennis has long been touted for a bright future at Wolves but he has suffered some injuries over the past few years which unfortunately delayed his upward trajectory.
In 2016, the striker fractured his fibula twice just as Kenny Jackett was ready to hand the then 16-year-old his debut, while two games into his subsequent loan stint at Shrewsbury Town, he suffered a serious knee injury (Birmingham Mail).
However, things finally seem to be going more smoothly for Ennis in recent months as he impressed for Wolves’ Premier League 2 Division Two-winning Under-23s team last season, made his senior bow against Shrewsbury in the FA Cup, and was part of the Premier League Asia Trophy-winning squad in China earlier this summer.
