Leeds United attacker has been wasted, and could benefit from a swansong at Wolves.
Wolves are expected to go on a summer spending spree upon their imminent return to the Premier League, with promotion almost secured.
But this season has not been simply about money, their recruitment has been helped by smart, savvy additions, signing goalkeeper John Ruddy on a free for instance.
They should not rule out further free agent moves this summer, and a player who could be a real difference maker for them is Leeds United’s Pablo Hernandez.
Hernandez has been a class apart at Leeds in 2018 despite their terrible form.
It says a lot about Leeds’ predicament that they are at risk of losing him for nothing when his contract expires in June.

Hernandez’s performances have been underrated this season and without him, Leeds would be lost.
He has been influential, and has managed to contribute to more goals directly than Wolves maestro Ruben Neves.
Hernandez may be 32, but he has Premier League experience with Swansea City, and this could be vital to Wolves next season.
On a free transfer, the former Valencia ace and Spain international could be an ideal player to bring off the bench or rotate into the side, and counter-balance with their array of younger talent.
Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani vented his frustration at Wolves earlier this year when he lamented their smart recruitment.
Losing Hernandez to Wolves would really leave him angry.
