Rob Edwards may be free to rejoin Wolves after West Bromwich Albion appointed Carlos Corberan as their new manager this week.
West Brom sacked Steve Bruce earlier this month after a very disappointing start to the season.
One win in 13 to start the Championship season was never going to be good enough for a club with West Brom’s aspirations.
Bruce was sacked on October 10th and it took more than two weeks to find a replacement for the experienced boss.

Rob Edwards may be free to rejoin Wolves
West Brom confirmed their new manager late on Tuesday night with Carlos Corberan arriving as Bruce’s replacement.
The Spaniard guided Huddersfield Town to the Championship playoff final in May before heading off to Greece with Olympiacos.
That stint was short-lived and he is now back in England with West Brom securing a deal for Corberan.
This looks like an exciting appointment for West Brom but Corberan isn’t the only manager they considered.
The Express and Star reported earlier in October that West Brom had also spoken to Rob Edwards.
Edwards guided Forest Green Rovers to promotion from League Two last season before taking the Watford job.
That didn’t last long – as many managers have found at Watford over the years – and Edwards is now out of work.
The former Wolves defender lost out to Corberan in the race for the West Brom job but a return to the Midlands may still be on the cards.
TalkSPORT’s Alex Crook reported this month that Edwards may be added to the Wolves coaching staff in order to help caretaker boss Steve Davis.
Davis has now indicated to the Express and Star that backroom staff additions are expected soon – just as Edwards misses out on the West Brom job.
Edwards was a Wolves defender in his playing days before then coaching at Molineux, with the 39-year-old still highly regarded at Wolves.
Other jobs may appeal to Edwards, such as the Cardiff City role, but the stars seem to be aligning for Edwards to make the return to Wolves with their bitter rivals passing him up.
