Wolverhampton Wanders could add Rob Edwards to their coaching staff having decided to stick with Steve Davis moving forward.
Wolves sacked Bruno Lage almost three weeks ago now but a long-term replacement still hasn’t been secured.
Spanish coach Julen Lopetegui was the key target but he chose to take time out of the game due to his father being ill.
Wolves then pivoted to Michael Beale, an exciting young coach in charge of Queens Park Rangers.
However, Beale decided to stick with QPR and forced Wolves to announce caretaker boss Davis will be in charge until 2023.

Wolverhampton Wanders could add Rob Edwards
This is not the situation Wolves wanted when they sacked Lage and fans have every right to feel that this is a shambles.
Davis does have managerial experience under his belt having coached Northwich Victoria in non-league before becoming Crewe Alexandra boss in 2011.
A stint with Leyton Orient followed but a total record of 91 wins and 135 defeats from his 305 games before this Wolves role won’t will many with confidence.
Wolves may now look to add another member of staff to help Davis – and it would be a familiar face.
TalkSPORT’s Alex Crook claims that Rob Edwards may now join the Wolves coaching staff to help Davis.
The Telegraph reported last week that Edwards was interviewed by Wolves in their hunt for a new manager.
Yet it may be that Wolves were teeing up for Edwards to come in and help Davis should he be needed.
Edwards was a Wolves ace in his playing days and then turned his hand to coaching with the club.
Edwards was in charge of Wolves’ Under-23’s whilst Davis was leading the Under-18’s, so they should have an existing relationship.
The 39-year-old impressed in charge of Forest Green Rovers, leading them to promotion from League Two last season.
Watford came calling but Edwards lasted just 11 games in charge before being sacked.
Edwards knows Wolves and the interim coaching staff, and it looks like he may be willing to shelve his pursuit of a new managerial job – West Bromwich Albion are thought to be keen and talks have been held – in order to help the club closest to his heart.
The Baggies appear to have a stronger interest in Carlos Corberan it seems Edwards would have interest away from Wolves.
