Wolverhampton Wanderers should be looking for another striker in January.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have enjoyed a superb start to their Premier League return, and even harbour ambitions of a European spot under Nuno Espirito Santo.

With four wins, three draws and just the one defeat, some are even touting Wolves as one of the best promoted teams in Premier League history, and fans are unsurprisingly loving the progress being made on and off the pitch.

When January comes, Wolves will naturally be linked with a host of players thanks to their funds, ambition and links to super-agent Jorge Mendes, and they should certainly be in the market for another striker.

Raul Jimenez is only on loan from Benfica, whilst Leo Bonatini doesn’t appear to have the quality for the Premier League, even if his work rate and link-up play remains strong.

Another goalscorer to support Jimenez and even protect Wolves in case they can’t sign the Mexican permanently should be a priority, and a return for Real Sociedad hitman Willian Jose would fit the bill.

As reported by UOL Esporte in Brazil, Wolves made a move to sign Jose over the summer, but no deal was done – and he has gone back to starring in Spain with three goals in four games to start the season.

Willian Jose of Brazil attends a training session ahead of a friendly match between Russia and Brazil at Luzhniki Stadium on March 22, 2018 in Moscow, Russia.

Big and physical whilst being deadly in front of goal, the 26-year-old former Real Madrid man hit 20 goals in all competitions last season, showing just how good he is whilst earning a first Brazil call-up too.

A deal for the Brazilian would no doubt cost a huge sum, but there is seemingly no limit to the players Wolves can attract, and Jose would certainly give Wolves that extra bit of firepower needed to really push for European football come the end of the season.
