Wolves have not included the likes of Leo Bonatini and Bright Enobakhare in the travelling pack which will contest the Premier League Asia Trophy.

A number of Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the Molineux contingent set to travel to Asia for their pre-season tour, as confirmed by the official Wolves website.

Nuno Espirito Santo has selected a 26-man squad which will face Newcastle United and either Manchester City or West Ham United in the Premier League Asia Trophy.

A notable inclusion in the Wolves pack is Roderick Miranda, who spent last season on loan at Olympiacos and made 11 appearances for the Greek giants.

Leo Bonatini, meanwhile, has been omitted, as has Bright Enobakhare, while Matt Doherty misses out with a minor injury and Romain Saiss and Raul Jimenez are absent due to recent international commitments.

Several Wolves academy stars have also been picked, with Taylor Perry, Terry Taylor, Luke Cundle, Niall Ennis and Ed Francis amongst the Under-18 and Under-23 players travelling to Shanghai and Nanjing.

Here is what some of the Old Gold faithful made of the squad selection on the social media platform:

Wolves’ Premier League season begins with a trip to former champions Leicester City on 11 August, while their Europa League qualifying campaign begins in late July and early August.
