Wolves quartet Rui Patricio, Joao Moutinho, Ruben Neves and Diogo Jota are in the Euro 2016 champions’ latest squad.
Premier League high-flyers Wolverhampton Wanderers have seen four of their players called up to the Portugal squad for the upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers against Ukraine and Serbia.
Goalkeeper Rui Patricio and midfielders Joao Moutinho, Ruben Neves and Diogo Jota are included in Fernando Santos’s squad, with Cristiano Ronaldo also in the team for the first time since the 2018 World Cup.
Jota’s inclusion is especially noteworthy because it is his first senior call-up, the 22-year-old having impressed for Wolves this season with six goals and four assists from 25 Premier League games, according to Transfermarkt.
In total, five players who ply their trade in the Premier League have been selected by the reigning European champions, with Manchester City playmaker Bernardo Silva completing the Selecao quintet travelling from England.
