Summer signing Diogo Jota opened the scoring in the 55th minute with a ferocious effort from 15 yards. And substitute Leo Bonatini scored in the 71st minute, after great work from Jota.
Jota is enjoying some brilliant form at the moment and he has scored his seventh goal of the campaign already. However, it is his all-round contribution that has made him one of the best players of the Championship.
Wolves could have added more goals but Villa goalkeeper Sam Johnstone pulled off a terrific double save to deny both the goal scorers.
Wolves enjoyed 55% of ball possession, and attempted 20 shots during the match, as reported by BBC.
