It’s a great time to be a Wolverhampton Wanderers fan right now, with the team having an absolutely fantastic season back in the Premier League following last year’s impressive Championship title-winning campaign.

In a lot of cases, the euphoria experienced in the summer directly following promotion, particularly back to the top flight, will slowly ebb away as the reality of the much tougher league sinks in – effectively what’s happening to the sides which got promoted last term alongside Wolves.

However, this is anything but the case for the Molineux outfit, who had a little wobble earlier in the season but are now on form and climbing up high in the table – seventh in the standings, in fact, the best of the teams outside the traditional big top six sides.

That said, it’s a results based business at the end of the day and, should Wolves make it to the final stages of the competition, it won’t matter how they got there in the previous rounds, so all in all, it’s proving to be a wonderful season for the West Midlanders.

With Wolves having flown out to a warm-weather training camp in between the Shrewsbury game and next week’s Premier League clash with Newcastle United, the official Twitter account posted a photo which effectively summed up the joyous camaraderie within the camp:

Some Wanderers fans took to Twitter and expressed their feelings about the picture, mostly praise and basking in the glory of the pack:
