Wolverhampton Wanderers spoke to Peter Bosz but it’s now claimed that the club just weren’t unanimously convinced by him.
Wolves’ managerial search has lurched from one disappointment to the next, unfortunately.
Bruno Lage was sacked almost three weeks ago now having suffered an underwhelming start to the Premier League season.
First it was Julen Lopetegui but the Spaniard decided to snub a move to Molineux to focus on caring for his father.
That’s unfortunate, not much Wolves can do about that.
Now there is another snub though as Queens Park Rangers boss Michael Beale has rejected the job after an approach this week.

Wolverhampton Wanderers spoke to Peter Bosz
Wolves have now decided to keep caretaker Steve Davis in charge until the end of 2022, seemingly preferring to wait for somebody they really want rather than jump into a deal they’re not sure about.
Wolves did speak to other managers though and one of them was Peter Bosz.
The Dutchman only recently became available having been sacked by Lyon.
Bosz earned a great reputation for attacking football at Ajax, guiding them into the Europa League final in 2017.
The 58-year-old earned himself a move to Borussia Dortmund but lasted just six months after only eight wins in 24.
Bayer Leverkusen gave Bosz a chance to redeem himself and 59 wins in 108 games wasn’t a terrible record, but he was still sacked in March 2021.
Then it was Lyon who moved for Bosz, but they decided to pull the trigger earlier this month after less than 18 months in the job.
Bosz loves attacking football; his last four jobs have combined for a goal difference of +189.
Wolves had a chat with Bosz about taking over from Lage but Le10 Sport now claim that key decision makers just weren’t fully convinced by him.
With an internal struggle over whether Bosz was the right man or not, Wolves decided not to make a move and have kept Davis instead.
It therefore feels like Bosz won’t get the job even when Davis steps aside, with Wolves looking elsewhere.
