Rafa Mir joined Wolverhampton Wanderers in January 2018.
Mir joined Premier League club Wolves from La Liga outfit Valencia in January 2018 for a transfer fee reported by The Mirror to be worth £2 million.
It was reported at the time that Spanish and European giants Real Madrid were looking at the 21-year-old forward.
The Spain Under-21 international forward joined Las Palmas on loan in the Segunda Division from the Wanderers in the summer transfer window.
The former Valencia prospect has suggested that he is open to playing for Madrid in the future.
Marca quotes Mir as saying while discussing previous reported interest from Madrid: “When a great club looks at you, every football player thinks about moving to that place. It’s true that it depends on other people because there are advisors or sporting directors.
“It could not be, and I am staying with the positive that I got from England. We have to keep working, and why not go some day?”
Progressing
Mir is still very young and is developing as a footballer, and the youngster has a lot to do before he establishes himself in the Wolves first team.
For now, the youngster should do his best at Las Palmas and try to guide the club to promotion to La Liga at the end of the season.
The Spanish youngster has scored four goals in 11 league fixtures for Las Palmas so far this season, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.
