The Wolves midfielder was caught by the elbow of Cherries defender Jefferson Lerma in the controversial Premier League draw.

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Nuno Espirito Santo has provided an update about Joao Moutinho following the elbow he received from Jefferson Lerma in Saturday’s controversial 1-1 draw against Bournemouth.
Roger East awarded the Cherries man a yellow card after he caught the Portuguese ace with an elbow in the match and left him writing in agony on the floor and bleeding from his mouth, which prompted angry reaction from the away fans’ stands.
The referee had a questionable afternoon throughout, awarding three penalties, but needless to say they weren’t particularly stonewall – the first one saw Joshua King go down somewhat softly under Moutinho’s challenge, while the third was for a foul outside the box.
In the end, the spoils were shared between the two teams, and although much will surely be asked about East’s performance, Nuno attempted to put a funny spin on it when asked by BBC Sport how his player was after the match.

“Joao Moutinho is bleeding heavily from his mouth,” he said. “He was not happy at all and when a short man is angry it’s tough.”
The result sees Wolves remain eighth in the Premier League table after extending their unbeaten league run to five matches, though they will surely be feeling aggrieved not to have been able to return to seventh after Watford leapfrogged them on Friday night.
