Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in Nuno Espirito Santo and may face having to pay around €4million (£3.5million) to bring him to Molineux.
Wolves chose to part ways with Bruno Lage earlier this month, sacking him 24 hours after a 2-0 defeat away at West Ham United.
The search for a replacement is now at two weeks after first-choice target Julen Lopetegui chose to reject the job.
Other names have been linked and one of them is a very, very familiar face to Wolves fans.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in Nuno Espirito Santo
Rumours in recent days have linked Nuno with a shock return to Wolves.
Nuno took over at Wolves in 2017 and not only guided them to promotion but then into the Europa League.
A real hero at the time, Nuno’s stint at Wolves became a little stale and they decided to go their separate ways last summer.
Nuno moved onto Tottenham Hotspur but it was an ill-fated spell in North London and he was sacked in November.
Nuno now finds himself out in Saudi Arabia managing Al-Ittihad, where he has taken charge of just seven games, securing four wins and three draws.
The 48-year-old could now return to Molineux though with The Athletic claiming that talks have now been held with Nuno over a comeback.
Al Eqtisadiah in Saudi Arabia now report that the fee to prise Nuno out of his Al-Ittihad contract stands at around €4million (£3.5million).
Parting ways with a manager and then paying a decent seven-figure fee to bring him back less than 18 months later doesn’t sound great.
Wolves ultimately let Nuno go for a reason; they wanted to progress, they wanted to see their brand of football move forward.
Going back to Nuno would be an acceptance of scrapping those ideas and whilst he is faring well in Saudi Arabia results-wise, this feels like a backwards step for Wolves.
