Wolves trio Conor Coady, Matt Doherty and Romain Saiss have all penned new deals at Molineux.

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Nuno Espirito Santo has spoken about the new contracts given to three players, stating that keeping the core of the squad together is what will help the team kick on over the coming seasons.
Club captain Conor Coady and fellow defender Matt Doherty penned new deals last week which will take them until 2023, while earlier this week, midfielder Romain Saiss also signed a new contract which ties him until 2021.
All three players had been with the club for a number of years – Coady since 2015, Doherty since 2010 and Saiss since 2016 – and played key roles in last season’s Championship-winning season.
Wolves are enjoying a superb first season back in the Premier League and are also in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup, hoping to add Manchester United’s scalp to that of Liverpool, who were vanquished in the third round.

Speaking ahead of Saturday’s Premier League trip to Bournemouth, Nuno – whose side are currently seven games unbeaten in all competitions – explained the reasons behind retaining the trio at his pre-match press conference, as quoted by Sky Sports News.
“They are players who were here before, players who have had many years at the club and we believe the core of the squad and keeping the same players will improve us,” he said. “They have played well since last season, Romain, Conor and Matt, so the idea is to keep what works.”
